The best-graduating student of the Lagos State University (LASU) Aminat Yusuf visited Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Thursday at the State House, Marina.
Ms Yusuf visited the governor in the company of her parents.
Mr Sanwo-Olu announced a donation of N10 million to Yusuf at the university’s convocation ceremony on June 22.
He gave her a personal gift of N5 million cash and also announced an additional N5 million from the Lagos State Government to reward the 23-year-old law graduate for her brilliance.
The governor’s chief press secretary Gboyega Akosile announced Yusuf’s visit on social media.

“The Lagos State Governor @jidesanwoolu today received Miss Aminat Yusuf, the record-breaking, best graduating student of @LASUOfficial at the State House, Marina. Miss Yusuf came in company with her parents for the visit,” he wrote.
Yusuf graduated from LASU as the institution’s best student of all time, with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 5.0 on a scale of 5.0, becoming the school’s valedictorian at its 26th convocation held at its Ojo campus.
Edo State Government has offered her employment.
