Actor Lateef Adedimeji has posted a throwback video of himself and gospel singer Shola Allyson ministering a song together.

Despite being a Muslim, Lateef said he never misses an opportunity to praise God in the language he understands.

Sharing the video on Instagram on Sunday, he reflected on his love for worship.

“FLASH BACK SUNDAY… Any opportunity for me to praise God in the language I understand can never be missed, it’s what I know how to do best, and I’m happy to do it anywhere and at any time,” he wrote.

The 40-year-old actor recalled how the moment was unplanned.

“This was a beautiful one with my amazing sister @thesolaallyson. I didn’t see it coming, I wasn’t even prepared, she called on me, and the rest, as they say, is history.”

Expressing gratitude, Lateef added, “God has been so good to me, more than I can ever wish for.

“Thanking Him is the only way to continue to show I am not an ingrate. Alhamdulilah. Another week is upon us, brand new and an opportunity to go do great things. Shall we?”

Shola Allyson is known for her soulful gospel music, with a career that took off after the release of Eji Owuro in 2003.

The album, which doubled as the soundtrack for a Yoruba film of the same name, shot her to fame and was followed by projects like Gbe Je F’ori (2005), Ire (2007) and Im’oore (2009).
