Lavezzi leaves PSG for big money move to China

Argentina forward, Ezequiel Lavezzi, has become the latest player to make a big-money move to the Chinese Super League after leaving Paris St Germain for Heibei China Fortune.

The 30-year-old, who had previously been linked with Chelsea, will join up with former Premier League stars Gervinho and Gael Kakuta at his new club.

Lavezzi had started just eight games for PSG this season after falling out of favour with manager Laurent Blanc.

The club announced the winger’s signing on its Twitter-like site Weibo on Wednesday but gave no details about his salary or other terms.

France’s L’Equipe newspaper says he will earn about 15 million euros ($17 million) per year which is around £400,000-a-week.

Lavezzi scored 22 goals in 107 appearances for PSG and has scored seven goals in 48 appearances for Argentina.
