Senate President Ahmad Lawan has thanked Senator Ifeanyi Ubah for hosting him and other senators to dinner on Monday.
Senator Lawan, in a tweet on Tuesday, said he had “a very good time” and that he was sure “other colleagues had a good time too.”
The Senate president shared pictures of the dinner with Ubah who is the only Young Progressive Party (YPP) senator in the ninth Senate.
“Yesterday, Distinguished Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, the only YPP Senator in the ninth Senate hosted me to a dinner to celebrate our victory at the National Assembly. I had a very good time.
“Thank you Senator Ifeanyi Ubah. I’m sure our other colleagues had a good time too,” Lawan said.
Lawan representing Yobe North was on June 11 elected president of the Nigerian Senate.
The 60-year-old defeated Ali Ndume by 79 votes to 28.
