Arsenal winger, Alex Iwobi, has emerged as a surprise target for Serie A giants Lazio, according to reports in Italy.
The Super Eagle was in and out of the Gunners team throughout last season but is thought to be in new boss Unai Emery’s plans for the campaign ahead.
However, it seems the winger has been identified by Lazio as one of four players who could step in as the replacement for Felipe Anderson.
The Brazilian secured a £42 million move to West Ham last week.
Lucas Perez is also stated to be a target for Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi, as he looks to step up his efforts to land a new winger this summer.
It seems for now, though, Iwobi has only emerged as one option of many for Lazio, with the club having reportedly expressed a stronger interest in signing Alejandro Gomez from Atalanta or Angel Correa from Atletico Madrid.
Iwobi will be desperate to continue his progress under Emery’s stewardship this season, having come in for some criticism the last term.
For now, the 22-year-old is still at the club and was named in the 25-man pre-season squad to Asia.
