Mo Alder, wife of brand strategy consultant Leke Alder, has assured that the “worst is over” as regards her husband’s health.
Mr Alder revealed at an event in Lagos tagged ‘Intimate Festival of Words’ to mark his 60th birthday on February 23 that he was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 and only recently completed treatment.
The public speaker added that just as he was recovering from cancer he was diagnosed with another major illness which he would not mention because he does not want pity, but prayers.
On Monday night, however, Alder shared a message from his wife on Instagram about his health.
Mrs Alder said in the message, “I have been inundated with calls and messages since the video of my husband’s comment about his health at his 60th birthday program went viral.

“I am so touched and humbled by the goodwill, kind words and prayers from around the world. May God bless and honor you all.
“My family and I live a very private life and I in particular, I’m very reserved. However, I think it necessary to come out of my reserve to just assure everyone that all is well and we believe strongly that the worst is over.
“Even in the worst moments of the ordeal, my very brave husband was working, delivering powerful speeches around the world and being the genius he is.
“If anything, it’s like God compensated him with even more genius, intelligence and creativity during this period. His work has been outstanding and his clients and followers can attest to this. God’s grace is truly sufficient for us.”
She added that one important lesson to draw from her family’s experience is the need to be kind, adding that people are going through different things privately.
