Evicted Big Brother Naija contestant, Leo Da-Silva, has lost his mother seven days after he left the show.
Leo announced the death on Sunday, describing the day as the worst of his life.
Alhaja RMO Sanni, who encouraged her son to enter the reality TV show, has been buried according to Islamic rites.
“Thank you for everything. Till we meet again,” he wrote.
“Thank you to everyone that has supported me through this ordeal. I’m sorry I couldn’t pick calls.”
Leo was evicted from the Big Brother House along with Ifu Ennada on Sunday last week.
He said in a recent interview with PUNCH that his mum made him go for the show’s audition.
“At the end of it all, my mum was very happy and she said I made her proud,” he said.
He sent her a Happy Mother’s Day message on the day of his eviction, writing: “You taught me a lot of things. You taught me to be respectful, responsible, and kind-hearted.
“Heaven smiled on me the day you brought me into this world. You’ve watched me and groomed me and I’ve learnt to take responsibilities for my actions like a man.
“After dad left us, we were there for each other. And I want to make you so proud of me.
“You have no idea. I love you from the bottom of my heart and I promise to always be my best at all times.”
