Aisha, daughter of the late Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, has urged her father’s critics to allow them mourn him in peace.
Kyari died of coronavirus amid underlying health conditions on April 17 in Lagos. During his days as chief of staff, he was fingered as a strongman in President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Before his death, his whereabouts in Lagos which was undisclosed gradually became a cause for concern among several Nigerian; with Lola Omotayo, wife of singer, Peter Okoye, questioning the rationale behind it.
“Guys, so the Lagos state commissioner of health just said he doesn’t know Abba Kyari is currently located. Abba Kyari is Buhari’s Chief of Staff and we don’t know where he is?” Lola had asked in a video shared on Instagram on April 2.
“Whether he is in Lagos receiving treatment or in Abuja at home, self-isolating, did he even go anywhere to get treatment, or is he out of the country? Nobody knows.
“How can you say you speak to him over the phone or WhatsApp and you just presumed that he is fully recovered. We need to know as Nigerians if he is fully recovered.”
However, Aisha wrote on Instastories on Monday with the username @crackeddiamond, saying she hopes her father’s critics can now sleep better at night.
“My daddy, Abba Kyari is gone. Evil ones still won’t shut up. You all claimed he was the root of your problems when he was alive, now he is gone, surely all your problems died with him,” she wrote.
“Allow us that love him mourn in peace. And dear Lola Omotayo and co that were so curious about his whereabouts, I hope now that you know exactly where he is, you’re sleeping better at night.”
