Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, on Monday urged Nigerians to trust his father to turn Nigeria’s fortune around.
Seyi re-echoed his father’s message about the hardship Nigerians were facing in an Instagram post on Monday.
This comes amid growing frustration across the country over the decline of the economy and diminishing value of the local currency.
Seyi used several hashtags to urge the public to trust Tinubu and give him time to fix the country.
Some of the hashtags read, “Have Faith in Him, Our Generation will Yield the fruits of this hardship, and I Stand with Our President.”
“There is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago. I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future,” Seyi quoted his father as saying.
Amid the president’s son’s call, protests have started building up in different parts of the country over the state of the economy.
On Monday, February 19, young people in Ibadan made their grievances known through a protest. Earlier this month, there was a similar protest in Minna, Niger State.
