Singer Lola Rae became a subject of discussion on Twitter on Friday after fellow musician Davido announced he was signing a female artiste to his DMW label.
That announcement prompted suggestion that Lola Rae was once signed by Davido.
The 25-year-old was, however, quick to deny that she was on Davido’s label.
According to her, what he did was help promote her when she was still an up and coming artiste.
She also used the Twitter attention to promote the video for her new single ‘Shower Me’.
Born to a British father and a Ghanaian mother in Obalende, Lagos, Lola Rae released her debut single ‘Watch My Ting Go’ in 2012.
Her other songs include ‘High’, ‘Fi Mi Le’ (featuring Iyanya) and ‘One Time’.
She gave birth to a daughter named Skye Kelechi for fellow singer Tekno in May 2018.
