Bureau head of CNN Africa Stephanie Busari has said that the death of her mum Cecilia Olukoya-Busari on April 1, 2022 first felt like April Fool’s joke.
Busari stated this in an Instagram post on Monday marking the second anniversary of her mother’s death.
The journalist said she initially thought she would be unable to move on after her mother’s death.
“Two years!!!! It felt like a horrible April Fool’s joke losing you on April 1 2022. Somehow two years have passed already! Didn’t seem possible to go on without you, our rock and anchor but I carry you in my heart always. Rest forever in peace,” she wrote.

Mrs Olukoya-Busari died in 2022 of multiple illnesses in the United Kingdom, according to Busari.
The deceased would have turned 70 on November 9, 2023.
