A house officer at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Stephen Urueye, also known as Sarutobi, has died after being stabbed to death, reports say.
Mr Urueye was said to have graduated from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) on Wednesday.
Reports say the house doctor was on Thursday night accosted by armed robbers along Idi Araba road, Surulere where LUTH is situated. His assailants reportedly stabbed him and made away with his properties.
Friends and acquaintances of the young doctor have stormed social media to express their sadness at the incident.
Reports on Twitter say the medical students have complained severally to LUTH management of frequent robbery attacks around the hospital’s college of medicine.
