The presidential panel probing the suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC) Ibrahim Magu on Monday ordered his lawyers out of the sitting.
Justice Ayo Salami (rtd), who is the panel’s head, asked security operatives to walk Zainab Abiola and Aliyu Lemu out of the presidential villa shortly after they were introduced as Magu’s lawyers.
Wahab Shittu has been the only counsel appearing in Magu’s defence against allegations of corruption and insubordination.
Salami said only Shittu would be allowed to defend Magu.
The panel sits in the presidential villa.
