Former chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team Abdulrasheed Maina has been extradited to Nigeria to face trial for alleged money laundering.
He was received by the police at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Thursday.
The aircraft he boarded landed at the airport at 2:15 pm.
Mr Maina was arrested in Niger Republic earlier in the week after he jumped bail.
Commissioner of Police in charge of INTERPOL told journalists that Maina was brought back to Nigeria on the directive of the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu.
Maina will be expected to appear in court soonest to continue his trial for alleged money laundering to the tune of N2 billion.
