Afrobeat star, Femi Kuti, has praised late raggae singer, Majek Fashek, for making great music.
The 57-year-old did so on Tuesday when he shared a tribute to Majek, whose death had earlier been confirmed by his manager, Omenka Uzoma.
“RIP Majek Fashek. You made great music and brought great vibes. You will always be loved my brother ,” he wrote on Instagram.
Majek died following an undisclosed illness in New York City, United States of America.
Confirming the news, Uzoma said, “I have been having pressure calls from all over. Yes, it is true that the legend has gone to be with the lord.
“Let’s celebrate him, his achievements and his family. Whatever decisions made by his immediate family will be notified.”
