Nigerian reggae star, Majek Fashek, on Sunday visited the headquarters of the Christ Livingspring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM) in Lagos after his return from the United States of America.
The singer, who has been undergoing rehabilitation for alcoholism, met with founder and senior pastor of the church, Wole Oladiyun.
Impressed at Majek’s level of recovery, Pastor Oladiyun praised him for his courage and determination.
The cleric also prayed for the singer and his management team, calling on members of the congregation to commit them to God.
He also offered the singer financial support on behalf of the church.
Majek had visited the church back in 2015 before a failed attempt to rehabilitate him in a treatment centre in Abuja.
He returned to the church in 2016 to say he had been delivered from his addiction with the help of the church which he said stood by him during his trying times.
“My testimony is that Jesus Christ is Lord, Jesus Christ is the Master.
“You know before I went to Abuja for my rehab, Baba Oladiyun here came to my rescue. Most church won’t do that.
“May God bless him and keep this ministry.
“Materials and spiritual are two different things because Jesus Christ cannot come from Heaven to heal you.
“This Baba is a correct prophet,” Majek said back then.
Responding, Oladiyun said it would have been a great disaster if the devil had wasted a talent like Majek Fashek.
Describing the singer as a great legend that will blossom again, Oladiyun prayed that the Lord will perfect all He has started in his life.
Majek reportedly suffered another relapse after the second visit to the church, prompting another visit to rehab.
