Celebrity stylist and designer, Toyin Lawani, has revealed that late reggae singer, Majek Fashek, was in ‘bad shape’ the last time she saw him at the Eko Hotel in Lagos.
The 37-year-old made this known on Tuesday when she shared a tribute to the ‘Send Down the Rain’ singer on Instagram.
She wrote, “Rip legend Majek Fashek, you will be greatly missed. Rest now papi, the last time I saw him at Eko hotel he was in a really bad shape but he still manage to take pictures with people…”
The Benin-born singer’s death was confirmed on Tuesday morning by his manager, Omenka Uzoma.
“I have been having pressure calls from all over. Yes, it is true that the legend has gone to be with the Lord.
“Let’s celebrate him, his achievements and his family. Whatever decisions made by his immediate family will be notified,” he said in a video shared on social media.
