Mohammed Daura son of Mamman Daura a nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari has dismissed reports suggesting his father is being treated abroad for renal and breathing problems.
Mohammed told ThisDay on Friday that the reports were concocted.
“Today is the 21st of August, 2020 and for the past couple of days, we have been forced to deny, numerous times, a completely fabricated story about our father’s wellbeing. Alhamdulillah Baba is perfectly fine. He neither has a history of renal problems nor does he have any breathing difficulties like was suggested in the concocted news story,” he said.
Mohammed was however silent on whether his father was on a trip abroad.
A close aide of the elder statesman Aminu Kurfi had reportedly said Daura travelled to London for routine medical check-up.
Reports said Mr Kurfi acknowledged that Daura was at the funeral prayer for late journalist Wada Maida and did not show any sign of illness, adding that he saw Daura off at the airport on Wednesday and received notice of his arrival in the UK.
