A drunk driver fled leaving his children behind after slamming into an ambulance along Forest Road, Walthamstow, United Kingdom.
An officer simply named Collett who is based in east London, said on Thursday that the incident occurred on July 3.
Mr Collett said the shocking part of the incident was that the children were left in the back with no seatbelts on.
The driver, who was not named, has been arrested by the police after fleeing the scene on foot.
