A 20-year-old man has taken his own life in West Yorkshire, England after leaving a final Facebook note to his ex-girlfriend telling her where her Christmas presents were.
Depressed Kieran Lister posted the message on December 12 saying “I don’t know what to do anymore” adding that it wasn’t her fault and telling her what items of his will make money if she sells them.
He ended the post by telling people he was sorry for letting them down before begging for Facebook not to remove his post in hope it will be an “eye opener to the people that are looking for happiness”.
His cousin, identified as Sarah, commented “I just want to put it out there that yes Kieran Lister was my cousin and I’m sure at time like this that all his family and friends want is some privacy.”
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said “At 7.42pm on Monday, December 12, police received a call expressing concerns for the welfare of a 20-year-old man who had gone missing from his home in Churwell and had last been seen earlier in the day.
“Enquiries were carried out and searches conducted and the man was found dead in the Cottingley area at about 1.40am on Tuesday. The death is not being treated as suspicious and the Coroner’s Office has been informed.”
