A 41-year-old man, Taofeek Omotosho, has been arraigned in an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos over the theft of 952 pieces of air condition kits valued at N7.1 million.
Mr Omotosho, whose address was not given, denied the charge of stealing on his arraignment on Friday.
Prosecutor Cyril Ejiofor told the court that the defendant committed the offence between June 2018 and March 2019 at Dangote Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
The offence, he said, contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Chief Magistrate O.O. Olatunji admitted Omotosho to bail of N1 million with two sureties in like sum.
The magistrate held that one of the sureties must be gainfully employed.
The case was adjourned until June 18 for mention.
