Manchester City became the first English club to lose four consecutive Champions League matches in history following a shocking 2-1 home loss to Lyon on Wednesday.
A second-half Bernardo Silva finish was a little too late for the Citizens as Maxwell Cornet and Nabil Fekir had already done the damage.

Man City’s streak began in February’s round of 16 clash with Basel, as Pep Guardiola’s side followed a 4-0 first leg win with a 2-1 loss to advance to the quarter-finals.
Once there, City ran into Liverpool, who cruised to a 3-0 win at Anfield before the eventual Premier League champions fell 2-1 at the Etihad to seal an embarrassing exit.
There were few signs of weakness from City entering Wednesday’s match with a 1-1 draw at Wolves proving the only early blemish on the club’s initial five-game run through Premier League play.
Widely seen as one of the favourites to win the Champions League this season, City were left without a point on Matchday one thanks to a standout effort from the opposition.
