Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola and Leroy Sane have won the Premier League Manager and Player of the Month awards for October.
Boss Guardiola and winger Sane claimed the accolades after City won all three of their league games in October – a run which saw them hit 13 goals.
It is the second month in a row Guardiola has won the Manager of the Month award as unbeaten City sit top of the Premier League having won their last nine league matches.
The 46-year-old has now won the award three times after beating off competition from Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino, Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger and Burnley’s Sean Dyche.
Meanwhile, City’s Sane picked up his first Player of the Month accolade after recording a goal and an assist in each of his three Premier League appearances during October.
The 21-year-old is only the second German to claim the gong after Tottenham’s Jurgen Klinsmann won the first ever monthly award in August 1994.
Sane joined City in the summer of 2016 from Schalke for £37m and has scored 11 goals in 37 Premier League appearances, including six so far this season.
City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal, Brighton striker Glenn Murray, Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope and Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha were the other players nominated for the October award.
