Nigeria striker, Odion Ighalo, has revealed he would struggle to turn down Manchester United if the Premier League title challengers came after him.
Ighalo scored 20 goals last season to help Watford win promotion from the Championship and has added 14 league goals since the club’s return to the top flight.
His goalscoring form has drawn plenty of transfer speculation in the build-up to the January window, but Hornets boss Quique Sánchez Flores expects Ighalo to remain at Vicarage Road until the summer.
Strike partner, Troy Deeney, says Watford are laughing at reports his team-mate will move on before February, with the club ninth in the Premier League, but Ighalo has said there is a possibility he could move this month.
“There has been speculation from Spain and Italy but I’ve played there and now want to play in England,” Ighalo said.
“I don’t think I will be moving but I’m not sure I’d say no if United called.
“They were my team growing up. I loved watching Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke on TV.
“They were my idols and playing at Old Trafford has always been a dream.”
