Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Mohammed Marwa; former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke; and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu received awards on Friday night at Eko Hotel and Suites.
They were presented awards by the Champion Newspapers which recognised achievers of year 2022 in various sectors.
The event, chaired by the director general, National Council for Arts and Culture, Olusegun Runsewe; was well attended by the crème de la crème of Nigerian society.
Others who got awards were Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo; Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke; Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule; Plataeu State Governor Simon Lalong; businesswoman, Princess Folashade Omotade.
Other recipents were the executive vice-chairman and chief executive officer (EVC/CEO) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Dambatta; managing director and chief executive officer of Fidelity Bank, Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe; UBA, Heirs Insurance, Fidelity Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and the managing director, Nigeria Railway Corporation, (NRC), Fidet Okhiria among others.
