Massimo Industry Hangout, a programme designed to celebrate party vendors in Nigeria, has berthed in Lagos.
The monthly hangout is the initiative of Massimo Entertainment led by entertainment and strategy guru Olayinka Oyedeji in partnership with Alexia’s Place.
“The idea is to create a fun-filled atmosphere for successful and aspiring party planners and vendors.
“I found out that they go to parties all the time but they don’t get to party. Others enjoy while they are preictally on their feet working hard to make sure everything goes well,” Mr Oyedeji said in a statement made available to journalists.
The inaugural edition of Massimo Industry Hangout will hold on Sunday, 25 June at Alexia’s Place, 9, Regina Omolara Street in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos.
Subsequent editions will hold at the same venue on the last Sunday of the month.
Two eminent party vendors – a male and a female – will get special recognition every month in a segment called Industry Standouts.
Those nominated will be specially celebrated and projected as leaders in the business.
They will be given recognition awards and also share their experience on how they stand out in their fields.
For the first edition, Olugbuyi Ogunnaike of Icebox and Foluke Adedokun of FrutieWorld will receive special recognition as Industry Standouts.
“Ogunnaike who stands out in the business of drink service has handled high-profile events and is out working almost every day. He is highly sought-after for his signature service in different parts of Nigeria.
“Adedokun also makes magic with fruits at parties and is renowned for her fruit tree among other innovations. Parties these days are incomplete without having people who do wonderful things with fruits and she definitely stands out in that field,” Oyedeji added.
Aristos Band will provide live music at Massimo Industry Hangout with DJs also supporting.
