Music producer, Mastercraft, and singer, Shaydee, have come to the defence of award-winning singer and actor, Banky W, after social media personality, Oyemyke, said that his record label E.M.E collapsed after Wizkid left.
In a post to Instagram on Sunday, Mastercraft mentioned a lot of good things about Banky W and he revealed what the singer helped him achieve in his career.
“This man Gave me a chance when I didn’t even want or know the value … this man stood for me in front of brands like @airtelnigeria @samsung_nigeria @mtvshuga @cirocnigeria to mention a few..
“@bankywellington is a selfless Leader. I worked as the music director for EME from the start and I know the full story.. won’t wanna say much but I’m Grateful to this man till my last breath,” he wrote.
Shaydee, who wasn’t as direct as Mastercraft, took to Instagram on Monday to advise people to always mind their business.
Banky W started his record label E.M.E in 2002 while still studying.
After moving to Nigeria in 2009, he established the label in Lagos.
He signed artists like Niyola, Shaydee, Skales and Wizkid to the label at the time.
His breakthrough debut studio album, Back in the Building, was released in 2005.
