First Lady Aisha Buhari has reacted to the death of the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, praying for his ‘shortcomings’ to be forgiven.
Mrs Buhari had a long-standing battle with Kyari as her husband’s right hand man.
She accused him severally of being part of a cabal which allegedly hijacked President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
In mourning Kyari, the first lady on Saturday shared pictures of herself on Twitter conversing with him.
“I condole with Mrs. Kulu Abba Kyari and the entire family of Late Malam Abba Kyari over the death of their husband and father,” she wrote.
“I pray that Allah (SWT) will forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannatul Firdausi and give the family the fortitude and patience to bear the loss, Ameen.”
She added: “While wishing all those infected a speedy recovery and I pray for an end to Covid-19 Pandemic.”
Kyari died on Friday of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) at a private hospital in Lagos.
He has been buried at the Gudu Cemetery, Abuja.
