May Yul-Edochie, the first wife of actor Yul Edochie, has remained silent after her husband and his second wife Judy Austin spoke about her son Kambilinachukwu’s death.
Kambilinachukwu, May’s first son with Yul, died on March 30 after he developed a seizure in school while playing football with his schoolmates.
On Thursday evening, Yul broke his silence on the incident. Judy also reacted to it hours later.
Yul said in an Instagram post that his son made his mark in the world in just 16 years.
He shared a video showing notable moments in the boy’s life including his birthday and graduation.
He recounted his conversation with Kambilinachukwu hours before the incident and how they joked.
Yul added that he could not question God on the unfortunate incident.
“I can’t question God. My dear son, just 16 years with us here on earth, but you made your mark. Great Son. Calm, cute, brilliant, always cheerful, outstanding footballer, gentle and loving soul. You’re an angel. We miss you. We love you, Kambi,” wrote Yul.
Judy said in an Instagram post that God knows the reason for the boy’s sudden death.
The actress, who came under heavy criticism on social media following the boy’s death, described him as a “great son”.
She shared a candlelight photo on her Instagram page indicating that a loved one had died.
“God knows best. Rest in Heaven with God, Great son. Kambi Yul-Edochie,” she wrote.
Actress Georgina Onuoha and a few other celebrities have even criticised Judy over her post.
As of the time of filing this report, May had yet to make a public statement on the incident. Her last Instagram post was on March 27, three days before the boy’s death.
