May Yul-Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie has appeared to have supported a fan who openly mocked her estranged husband and his second wife, Judy Austin.
A screenshot of May’s response to the fan’s comment made rounds on Instagram on Monday, sparking reactions among followers.
The fan identified as Abimbsonjedidah, taunted Yul and Judy, referencing their signature use of the name “isimili” in social media posts.
Abimbsonjedidah suggested that May’s latest post would provoke Yul and Judy into creating skits mocking her.
Abimbsonjedidah commented, “Mr… and his adopted wife will soon start to be dancing and shouting izimiri up and down. May, you did this one!” May responded with a series of laughing emojis, which led to speculation about her intentions.
The comment was deleted shortly after.
Reactions were swift, with followers divided over May’s brief engagement.
Some suggested it was a mistake, while others saw it as a moment of honesty.
Jennifer Ijeoma wrote, “I’m sure it was a mistake. Maybe she wanted to reply someone else. She has deleted it already.”
Stella Enjay defended May’s reaction saying, “So is she restricted from laughing? Aargh, that was a funny comment. I would laugh if I were her.”
Another follower Krizz Ann criticised Yul’s current relationship stating, “I strongly feel that at this point, it is now ego that is keeping Yul with the marine lady. He just won’t admit his mistake, and like they say, pride goes before a fall.”
Berlyn Kerr added, “Good, it was funny and a fact! It’s people wanting her to hail them as good for me or protect his feelings.”
Yul Edochie and May’s marriage which spanned nearly two decades came to an abrupt end when Yul publicly announced his marriage to Judy.
The revelation ignited a media storm, leading to a highly publicised separation.
May has since distanced herself from Yul.
