Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu State, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka, has cancelled the planned reopening of the ministry’s congregational worship services.
Mbaka had planned to resume services on July 5 following the lifting of the coronavirus-induced ban on religious gathering.
However, in a statement on Wednesday, the cleric said, “Considering the peculiarity of the Adoration Ministry and her unique modus operandi, we concluded that the coast is not yet clear for the reopening of the ministry on July 5, as earlier agreed.
“The unhealthy rising cases of the Covid-19 pandemic vis-à-vis the need for more time needed by the ministry to put adequate measures for prevention of the spread of the virus as recommended by the World Health Organisation have made it imperative to put on hold our planned reopening of the ministry.”
He said a new date for the reopening of the ministry would be communicated in due course.
