Chairman of Lagos State Park and Garages Management Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo on Friday brought a woman he identified as Iya Chukwudi to debunk reports that he threatened the Igbo in Lagos who would not vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
MC Oluomo had said in a video which went viral on Thursday, “We have begged them, it is not a fight if they did not vote for us. Iya Chukwudi, if you no wan vote for us, please sit down for home oo. We don’t want your vote.”
But the transport union leader denied threatening the Igbo in a video he posted on Instagram on Friday, adding that he made the remark at a meeting with some residents of Oshodi, Isolo and Ejigbo which included the Igbo.
He also invited the woman he called Mrs Uche aka Iya Chukwudi in his statement to debunk the reports. Mrs Uche spoke in English and in Igbo.
MC Oluomo said, “The woman in question, Mrs Uche also stated that her attention was drawn to the viral video by her daughter. She said it was joke directed at her in the meeting and she was equally surprised that people edited the video and are claiming that I Mc-Oluomo was threatening Igbos.
“She said, ‘I am still surprised. I never knew the joke MC cracked to me yesterday has been twisted by people. Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya Mc-Oluomo is a lover of Igbos and the message is not a threat, rather in the meeting, he said he wants me to vote for him (APC) and that he would prefer I stay at home than vote against him and we all laughed it off.’ One love one Nigeria.”
