The meeting also had in attendance the special adviser to the governor on transportation, Oluwatoyin Fayinka; and representatives from Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA).
The statement said Mr Odumosu enumerated various security tips that should be implemented in motor parks within Lagos in order to ensure effective policing. He noted that his major task is to ensure security of lives and property of Lagosians.
He also used the medium to reconcile members of NURTW and Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) and noted that they should work together to ensure peaceful transportation of goods and services within Lagos.
MC Oluomo thanked Odumosu and noted that the NURTW will support the police in ensuring peace in Lagos and that passengers are seamlessly transported from one location to the other.
He noted that since he became the NURTW chairman of Lagos, he had been working at rebranding the union by organising seminars and programmes aimed at enlightening his members and that his efforts have started paying off. He noted that his members are now well behaved compared to previous years.
