Nollywood actress Lydia Usang has openly declared her belief in her “banging body” and acknowledged the irresistible effect it has on men.

“The truth is that I am not in anybody’s mind to know if I am actually seducing them with my looks,” she said in a recent interview with Vanguard. “Sometimes, men wouldn’t be able to resist my looks. But in real life, I really don’t know how many men I have turned on with my looks. It’s normal for beautiful women to turn men on.”

Lydia Usang, who began her Nollywood journey in 2022, has become known for her stunning physique, which she often showcases on social media and in her roles on screen. Her confidence and boldness continue to set her apart in the industry.

Beyond her physical charm, Lydia shared her perspective on romance and relationships. She described her ideal romantic date as one where she is treated like royalty. “Petals on the floor and a welcoming environment,” she said, urging Nigerian men to step up their game and embrace creativity in romance.

While she values friendships, the Cross River State-born actress admitted she hasn’t yet found a friend who means everything to her. “I value friendship even though I have my own bad side. I have a couple of friends, but I wouldn’t tell you I have a friend who means everything to me. I’m yet to find that particular friend,” she revealed.

Focusing on her career, the University of Calabar theatre art graduate aspires to reach the pinnacle of Nollywood. “As you grow older, your dreams, aspirations, and desires change. It has to be big, bold, and better. My dream is to become one of the most successful actors in Nollywood. I want to become an A-list actor who knows how to deliver any role given to her,” she stated.

Speaking in a 2024 interview, the What the Heart Sees actress revealed that her journey in Nollywood wasn’t without challenges. She alleged that some producers sought to exploit her upon her arrival in the industry. “I came into the industry as an adult. Yes, some producers wanted to sleep with me, but I opted out. It wasn’t like somebody compelled me to do it. If I wanted to have anything to do with anybody, it’s not because I was compelled to do it. I think I was able to escape from experiencing sexual harassment because I started off with a female producer who was giving me back-to-back jobs,” she said.

On the subject of onscreen romance, Usang noted that such roles come naturally to her. “Romance comes to me easily on screen because of the kind of body I have. I have a sexy body by God’s grace. So, I get cast in roles where I’d seduce people, snatch husbands or flaunt my bumbum. Those kinds of roles come easily to me because of my features. But I don’t get emotionally attached to playing those roles,” she explained.
