Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has ignored her colleague Iyabo Ojo’s jab at her by celebrating her new whip with celebrity fashion designer Abike Adedeji.
The 43-year-old shared a video of herself and Adedeji showing off their Range Rover’s in an Instagram post on Monday.
She captioned the post saying, “RR Geng.”
The woman behind the Abbyke Domina fashion brand, Adedeji also shared a picture of herself and Mercy on Instagram.
She said, “Range Rover Is Just Getting Free Advert.”
Iyabo took a swipe at Mercy after she announced that she was given a Range Rover HSE by a socialite popularly known as Mummy Glee on February 5.
According to Mercy, the vehicle was a belated gift for her 43rd birthday which took place on January 1.
“So, few days ago @gleeoflife said to me that she would like to host me today for my belated birthday since I wasn’t in town during my birthday. Little did I know what she had in store for me,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
Iyabo Ojo who had announced back in September 2020 that a goddaughter gave her a Range Rover Evogue thought differently about the gift.
In what many see as a direct attack on Mercy, Iyabo Ojo wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday, “Nothing beats being yourself! there is nothing more toxic and stressful than trying to compete. Honestly, it’s getting old.”
Adedeji posted a picture of the interior of her Range Rover Velar on Instagram on January 23.
Although Mercy and Iyabo carry on as friends in public and their daughters Priscilla and Michelle are considered good friends, there is a constant competition to outdo each other.
