Actress Mercy Aigbe on Friday posted on Instagram photos of herself in Mecca where she and her husband Kazim Adeoti travelled to for Hajj.
“May Allah accept our supplication on this very special day as an act of ibadah. Amin Jummah Muburak Everyone,” she captioned her post.
When she arrived at the holy land days ago, Mercy made a video of herself, Kazim and several others in a vehicle saying prayers.
She said she was “grateful, feeling so blessed for the opportunity to be here at the Holyland for Umurah/Hajj 2023!”
“Alhamdulilah Robil Al amin for his Grace upon my life!” She added.
The 45-year-old prayed, “May almighty Allah accept my sacrifices as an act of ibadah.
“To as many wishing, hoping and praying to perform Hajj, may Allah answer your prayers, grant you your wish and make it easy for you Insha Allah.”
Mercy thanked her husband for sponsoring the trip.
“Special Thanks to my husband for making this possible, Thank you! Thank You @kazimadeoti may Allah replenish your pocket and reward you abundantly,” she wrote.
In an interview at a Ramadan lecture and special prayers hosted by herself and her husband in April 2023, the actress disclosed she had converted to Islam and her Islamic name was Meenah.
In January 2022, Mercy broke her silence on her marriage to the famous Yoruba movie marketer and filmmaker, which sparked several reactions. She said Kazim was a Muslim and could marry multiple wives.
The actress debunked claims that Kazim was a friend of her ex-husband, Lanre Gentry.
