Mercy Aigbe begs Nigerians to raise N15m for producer with kidney disease

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has appealed to Nigerians to come to the aid of Kunle Agboola, a TV producer who has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease.

The 38-year-old made the plea in a video she uploaded to Instagram on Tuesday.

Sitting on a hospital bed with Agboola, Mercy said she heard about his travails on Monday and that she came to see him after a shoot.

The sum of N14.8million is said to be needed for an urgent life-saving surgery.

“Please, he needs to be alive. Let us keep Kunle Agboola alive, I beg you,” a crying Mercy appealed to Nigerians.

Yesterday I saw online that Mr Kunle Agboola, Producer of popular TV show IDAN IRANWO, a popular TV show on African Magic is down with Chronic Kidney Disease, I reached out to him and went to visit this morning after my shoot……. He his completely a shadow of himself ? and I was told he, his at stage 5 of the disease and needs to get a transplant. We are appealing to well meaning Nigerians to pls come to his AID. The producer of Idan Irawo on Africa Magic has been down for some time now and the result of tests carried out shows that one of his kidneys has packed up.

He would need about $40,800 (N14.8Million) for the cost of a Kidney transplant, flight, accommodation for three people, (himself, kidney donor, and caregiver to carry out the transplant at Columbia Asia Hospital in India.

Mercy’s campaign seemed to be yielding fruits as some Nigerians have expressed a desire to help.
