Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has appeared in a photo wearing a three-part body trainer to get the perfect shape.
In the photo shared on Instagram on Friday, the mother of two is seen in a track suit wearing arm, waist and thigh trainers also known as clinchers.
“@strictly_weightloss tommy, arm, thighs clinchers makes sure I stay snatched in the right places,” she captioned the photo.
Mercy, 42, does not regularly pose in body clinchers although she promotes weight loss brands.
The last time she was seen in a waist trainer was on August 29 when she said she was working towards losing weight for her next movie role.
“I am on a mission to lose some kilos for my next role. Watch me drop those kilos with the help of @strictly_weightloss. Spot my waist belt and of course my morning tea in my cup,” she wrote.
During the coronavirus-induced lockdown in March, several Nigerian celebrities lamented weight gain. Mercy was one of them.
On March 28, she joked that she had eaten a year’s supply of food in just a few days.
She wrote on Instagram, “On today’s episode of stay at home. I have eaten all the food I would normally eat in a year, in just few days, watched movies, read books, tried Triller, Tic Tok, tried learning how to dance, just to shock haters, but lord Jesus, can this just pass soon?”
Mercy Aigbe and other actresses like Omoni Oboli, Nkechi Blessing, Ini Edo, Anita Joseph and others have helped make waist trainers popular, further encouraging many ladies seeking a short cut to getting the body of their dream.
Made of thick fabric and hard metal boning, the garments are worn around the midsection to force the body into an hourglass shape.
