Michelle, daughter of Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe, has maintained a dignified silence on her mother’s marriage to movie producer Kazim Adeoti.
The 20-year-old social media influencer has not posted anything about her latest stepdad since Mercy confirmed her marriage to the man popularly known as Adekaz.
She has also not commented on any of the actress’ recent posts on Adeoti who celebrated his birthday on Monday, January 24.
Michelle’s last Instagram post at the time of filing this report was on Thursday, January 13 in which she flaunted her body in a brown bikini set.
Michelle is a product of Mercy’s relationship with a partner she had before she married Lanre Gentry.
Mr Gentry adopted Michelle as his daughter and she took up his surname.
Mercy left her marriage to Gentry in 2017 over allegations of domestic violence and infidelity.
The actress set tongues wagging after revealing Kazim as her new husband. She shared several photos of the movie producer to celebrate his birthday on Monday, January 24.
She wrote: “Yeah!!! Finally it’s here!!!! Happy birthday to a Great Man, a man of honor, amazing personality!!!!! Your heart is so pure! Selfless in all ramifications!!! An astute businessman ( my mentor when it comes to business), super hardworking, real estate mogul, best movie marketer! My bestie, My reality check, My gist partner! You do so so much for people around you, you are a rare Gem.”
Reacting to the photo, Mercy’s ex-husband shared a throwback photo of himself, Mercy, Kazim and his wife Funsho saying that the truth was finally out.
“At least I thank God the truth is out, this is just one out of many to God be the glory. I don’t need anyone’s comment,” he wrote.
Breaking her silence on the matter, Funsho shared a photo of herself and her children saying, “Losing someone who doesn’t respect you or appreciates you is actually a gain, not a loss. Thank you all.”
Lanre and Funsho’s reaction set tongues wagging again and speculations that Lanre and Kazim were friends and that Mercy stole Kazim from Funsho circulated on social media.
With things spiraling out of control, Mercy was forced to clear the air in a message sent to TVC present Morayo Afolabi-Brown during her talk show Your View.
Morayo who read the message out loud quoted the actress saying, “I just want to correct the impression, Adekaz isn’t Lanre Gentry’s friend.”
