The marriage of actress, Mercy Aigbe, and hotelier, Lanre Gentry, is all but over according to multiple media reports.
Pictures circulating online show the 38-year-old purportedly beaten by the man she allegedly snatched from another woman.
Sources close to the actress claim she sustained serious injuries during violent assaults by her husband who accused her of extramarital affairs.
Others allege the husband is the one having an affair with someone else.
The Edo-born Satanic actress seemed to validate the reports on Friday with an Instagram post showing the image of a physically assaulted woman.
She added the message “Say NO to DOMESTIC VIOLENCE…… Only a Coward hits a woman! REAL MEN don’t HIT!”
Few hours later, Gentry also posted on Instagram with the caption “Say No to the promiscuous and irresponsible women.”
There were reports in the early days of the marriage that the couple clashed after the actress went missing and was found with a change of clothes during a reception for her at a lounge in Ogba, Lagos in April 2013.
