Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has celebrated Super Eagle’s victory against Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
The mother of one posted her latest music video dedicated to her baby boy titled ‘You Do This One’ which was released the same day she announced the birth of her son on October 27 to celebrate Nigeria’s victory.
Mercy also used Super Eagle’s goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali as the cover of the video in honour of the victory.
Mercy also gave a shoutout to Nwabali on her Instagram account.
Sharing a photo of the man, she wrote: The joy in my heart. God bless you weneh.”
Captioning the video, she wrote: “Congratulations Nigeria. We Won @ng_supereagles.”
Mercy’s husband Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa also shared a video of his wife rejoicing after the win.
“@mercychinwo preparing for the finals @ng_supereagles we have an extra player ohhh,” he captioned the video.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles beat the Bafana Bafana of South Africa 4- 2 after a penalty shootout on Wednesday to qualify for the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Stanley Nwabali was the hero of the night as he saved two penalty kicks.
