Actress Mercy Johnson has celebrated her daughter Purity on the latter’s 9th birthday.
The excitement mother shared a photo of the celebrant and her siblings with a goodwill message to her.
“OSEBHAJIMENTE, it means ‘God did not put me to shame’. My baby is 9 Today…..Lord do that which only you can do in her Life. IJN. Happy Birthday Princess Purity….@theokojiekids My Very Own Life,” she wrote.
Fellow celebrities and fans wished Purity a happy birthday in the comment section of the post.
On October 22, the actress accused a teacher of bullying Purity.
According to her, the teacher said she does not like the actress and that children of celebrities are ‘badly behaved’.
“A teacher at my child’s school has been bullying my daughter constantly for 2 weeks. She is not her class teacher yet she shows up at her class everyday to intimidate her! Uses biros to flick her hair. Tells her that she does not like her mother, tells her that celebrity kids are badly behaved and she should not bring her ‘aura, she stop feeling proud,” she wrote on Instagram.
Narrating the event that led to the call out, Mercy claimed that Purity was shoved by a classmate who she pushed back only for the teacher to discipline her daughter and not the other pupil. She, however, confronted the teacher who told her that she does not care and she would punish the child anytime she likes.
The 37-year-old concluded by saying that she will not stand by and allow her child to be victimised.
The matter was reported to the authorities who promised to handle the situation.
Mercy Johnson is married to Prince Okojie. The couple has four children together.
