Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, on Tuesday exchanged words with fans over the age of teenage actress, Regina Daniels.
The drama began when the 33-year-old uploaded a picture of Regina on Instagram to celebrate her 16th birthday
“Happy 16th Birthday Princess, you are so sweet, Respectful and Hardworking,” she wrote.
Regina then replied thanking her but didn’t make any correction about her age saying, “Aww thanks mummy. I have always admired you and still looking up to you, you are a rare gem, I love you”.
Some fans then took it upon themselves to argue that Regina was not 16.
According to them, the Python Girl actress has celebrated 16 multiple times.
Mercy’s insistence that she carried Regina as a child did not sway the doubters.
At last, the older actress was forced to write “friends of @mercyjohnsonokojie is it your 16? Is Your 16 missing? Wish her HBD and walk away emoji o”.
A Wikipedia entry gives Regina’s birthday as October 10, 2000, making her 17.
Regina is mindful of the controversy over her age.
She wrote in one of the messages posted on Instagram: “So goggle tell me how old am I now ???????”
