Actress Mercy Johnson could not hold back her excitement as she got on her knees to greet veteran actress Liz Benson on a movie set.
Mercy, who was star struck, alongside her movie crew, posted a heartwarming video of herself and fellow actress Georgina Ibeh on her Instagram account on Tuesday, kneeling to greet the movie legend as she arrived on set.
Mercy and Georgina joked about being anxious over meeting Liz Benson and when she eventually showed up she expressed her excitement to be working with the younger actors.
The film titled A Mother’s Son and executive produced by Mercy, features Liz Benson, Georgina Ibeh, Mike Godson, Simon Eveshoyan and others.
Liz, aged 60, started acting at the tender age of 5 but did not make a breakthrough until much later when she featured in Fortunes, a TV soap opera in 1993.
Her role in the 1994 controversial movie, Glamour Girls, shot her into the limelight, turning her into one of the most sought after actresses in early Nollywood. By 1996, she had wormed her way into the heart of movie lovers in Nigeria.
Liz has been featured in several other films such as Sins of the Fathers, Women in Power, Diamond Ring, Izaga, Sympathy, Day of Antonment and World Apart.
