Actress Mercy Johnson has celebrated her politician husband Odi Okojie on the latter’s birthday.
The 39-year-old penned a brief love message to Mr Okojie on her Instagram account on Wednesday, May 15.
Mercy described the man as her pillar, strength and her hero. She also posted a photo reel of the couple with Frank Edwards and Moses Bliss’ hit track ‘Love Love’ playing in the background.
Captioning the post, she wrote: “Happy Birthday babe @princeodiokojie. My pillar, My Strength, My Hero and My Love. Babe, hmmmmmm Obulu My Love. Obulu ..I have no words, you are everything and more.”
Fellow celebrities like Georgina Ibeh, Chigul, Empress Njamah, Moyo Lawal, Uche Odoputa, Real Warri Pikin and Uche Nancy wished the celebrant a happy birthday in the comment section of the post.
Odi Okojie also posted several pictures of himself and Mercy on his Instagram account, writing, “MY God is Gracious and Kind..Happy Birthday to mel!!”
The Edo politician also shared a video of himself dressed in a traditional attire with the caption: “Happy birthday to me. I am the city that is set upon a hill that cannot be hidden.”
Odi Okojie is the House of Representatives member for the Esan South-East/Esan North-East Federal Constituency in Edo State.
In March 2023, he dedicated his certificate of return to his wife and showered praises on her.
“Queen of my Life, may I seize this time once more to adore you immensely for your fervent role in this humongous call to serve my people, our people. For the invaluable support you keep rendering, for the timeless backing you give me, for the unending prayers, love, care and everything deserving of a man in my place, I say thank you my darling wife. Obulu! Obulu!! Obulu!!!”
He continued, “I want you to know that my love and appreciation to you for all your effort to this victory for our Constituency is immeasurable and may God in His infinite Love and Mercy, continue to shine His light of glory on you, for in me is the reflection of that grace, abundance, splendour and grandeur you bare.
Mercy and Odi Okojie tied the knot traditionally on August 26, 2011.
They have four children together.
