Mercy Johnson’s husband apologises for absence on her birthday

Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, celebrated her 33rd birthday on Monday without her husband, Prince Odi Okojie, present.

The Glo ambassador, whose marriage clocked six years on Sunday, had joked that she was angry that the father of her children was not around for the anniversary.

With her birthday coming a day after, the Edo prince took to social media to shower sweet words on his wife and apologise for his absence.

He uploaded a picture of her to Instagram and wrote a lengthy tribute expressing gratitude to “God for his Grace and Mercies upon your Life, and to celebrate with you on this Special Day”.

The message ended with “I join millions all over the World to congratulate and celebrate you on this Auspicious Occasion. (No Vex again jor….I will be home within the week).”

The Area Mama actress got married to Okojie in 2011 at the Christ Embassy church in Oregun, Lagos amid tight security in 2011.

The marriage is blessed with four kids.
