MFM press briefing at Onike-Yaba

The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) is set to celebrate its 35th anniversary and annual convention from August 16 – 18, 2024 at the Prayer City, Kilometer 12, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The church’s assistant general overseer (AGO) in charge of ministerial schools, Pastor Kehinde Adegbolahan, at a press briefing held on Tuesday at the church’s international headquarters in Onike-Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, urged members of the public to join the church in celebrating the wonders of God in the last 35 years.

“This August 2024, The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries will be thirty-five years old and we believe it is a landmark worthy of celebration and rejoicing, to the glory of God who doeth wonders,” Adegbolahan said.

“Members of the MFM across the seven continents, those at home, and all children of God, believers in Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, are all expected and welcome to the three-day event of activities spanning from Friday, 16 through Sunday, 18 August at the Prayer City, Kilometer 12, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

“Friday is for the arrival and registration of the guests, Saturday is the main day when most of the activities will be held to thank God for his kindness to the ministry in the past 35 years. God has really manifested himself in the lives of MFM members and used the ministry to bless so many other believers who have been sharing outstanding testimonies of god’s kindness.

“A lot of preparations have gone into the entire Prayer City to make it wear a new look and accommodate larger number of participants.”

The church’s 35th anniversary and 2024 annual convention is themed “Power From On High” (Luke 24:49).

Adegbolahan was joined at the briefing by the AGO in charge of African countries, Pastor Lawrence Olaseinde; director of administration, Pastor Akinola Wale; chairman of convention planning committee, Pastor Abiodun Ladejola; and the senior regional overseer who is also the vice-chairman of convention planning committee, Pastor Clement Imoru.

Ladejola assured that measures have been put in place to ensure security of lives and property, proper crowd control, and efficient traffic management on the expressway.

Imoru, whose role as vice-chairman makes him executive head of the convention planning committee, said concerts will be held during the three-day programme. He further said presentations will also be made by the youth and children while awards will be given to deserving members of the church.

The leaders affirmed that because it is spiritual exercise, the focus will be on teachings, music, and prayer.

The church’s general overseer Pastor Daniel Olukoya and his wife Shade were recently presented the United States Presidential Achievement Award in Houston, Texas.
