Enyimba skipper, Mfon Udoh, has parted ways with the club after five successful years.
Udoh, 26, moved to the Aba-based side in 2013 from Akwa United.
In his first year with the Peoples’ Elephant, he smashed the record goals scored in a single season with 23.
He would go on to hit the target almost 25 times in subsequent seasons.
Udoh revealed that his decision to leave was after his contract expired.
“My contract with Enyimba International of Aba ended when Lobi Stars were crowned Champions of the 2017/2018 NPFL Season and it’s been an amazing five years with the People’s Elephant,” he told FootballLive.
“My decision had nothing to do with the club but this is a new chapter in my career and I would like to take up another challenge.
“As at now I am a free player who could join any team and as at now several offers have been pouring in, is left for the manager to study the one that will good for me .”
Udoh was full of praise for the club, State Governor, Okezie Ikpaezu, Chairman, Mr Felix Anyansi, Sporting Director, Jude Anyadufu, the medical team, colleagues as well as the fans.
The 26-year-old’s recent appearance in the Super Eagles 2-1 victory over Liberia makes it a brace of caps.
