Singer, Timi Dakolo, has revealed that Michelle Dakolo, a woman who spoke on social media about men neglecting their immediate family, is not his sister.
In the now-deleted comment, the student of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), whom many assumed was Timi’s sister, said her brother blocked her on WhatsApp when she asked him for money to start a business.
“Hmmmmm! My own even blocked me via Whatsapp because I asked him for money to start a business. But I’m not giving up on life, cos I will make it in life. I know who I am. I’m a priesthood,” she wrote on Instagram on Friday.
Timi, however, responded and explained that Michelle was not his sister, but his cousin, meaning the comment could not have been about him.
“Make una leave ‘me’ o, I only have one sister and she is doing fine in this Lagos And her name is not Michelle. Michelle Dakolo is my cousin. I am very sure she is talking about her brother, not me,” he wrote.
The identity of Timi’s sister whom he says is based in Lagos is not known to the public.
Timi Dakolo is married to photographer Busola Dakolo. They have three children.
