Globacom Chairman, Mike Adenuga, has approved the addition of Timaya as brand ambassador for the iconic network.
A statement by the company on Friday confirmed that the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa joined the exclusive league of Glo ambassadors last week.
It confirms speculations in the industry about his engagement, which was fuelled by his inclusion in the ongoing Glo Campus Storm show.
The company explained that Timaya was made ambassador because of his humongous success in the music industry and for being a role model to millions of Nigerian youths, especially in the South-South part of the country.
Timaya’s entry into the star-studded Glo brand ambassadorship portfolio which parades A-listers has been well received in entertainment circles.
The stellar constellation includes Basketmouth and Bovi Ugboma, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Hadizah Blell (Di’ja), Patience Ozokwor (popularly called Mama G), Omawumi, Ego Ogbaro, Yvonne Nelson, Nadia Buari and MI.
